Insurance cover

In Australia there is a scheme that you can cover your pet's for vet bills by joining up for a health insurance policy for pets! It includes any med's and transport in a pet ambulance vehicle.

Does any other country have this? I havn't joined it but I can see the small premium would be well worth it with some bigger vet bills.
It sadden's me that animals die needlesly all because owners are broke or don't want to hand over money for a vets appointment to maybe save it's life!

Yes, but my problem is that they are not regulated like human health insurance, and it really varies between companies and cases. I have heard different stories about insurance for exotics, good and bad. I'd prefer to put money away in a emergency account every month.

Yeah I don't have a membership either but think it could be good for some people, perhaps folks who usually can't afford unplanned bills.
But like all insurance companie's, there's probally a catch!
