Hi everyone! I have been asking and almost begging my parents (well mostly my mom, my dad was ok with it) for them to let me get another guinea pig. And a couple of days ago she finally said ok! I am taking Amy ( my 4 year old GP) to the vet on Saturday to get her nails cut and also to make sure she is a girl. ( I really cant tell)
My mom said I cant get her (or him?) until the end of next month but if I am able to find some body who has one that needs to be adopted sooner than that , I bet I can persuade her to let me get it early. I cant wait to get amy a friend she has been really lonely recently ~ I bet they will be realy happy! ( at least I hope!)

Yay! That's so exciting. I'm glad you can get one!

I will take any advice anyone can give me. From quarantine to introductions. I am about to read all the stuff they have on the sight but personal experiences would be great!

I'm sooo Happy!!

Thanks

I'm so happy for you, KmKrazy9!:)
I hope Amy really IS a girl...that'd be a a real shock... and NoVeil would probably agree...something like that happened to her (sorry if I'm wrong) recently.

Yes, it did and it is very shocking when you discover the girl you had in with another female is really a male. Then you get to sweat for 2 months, hoping fervently that no litter comes of it.

At 4 years old, it should be very clear if Amy is really female or not.

congratulations KmKrazy9!

i just got my third piggie two days ago after trying to convince the 'rents also. your piggie will be so happy. and so will you. you are going to see so many different behaviors. they are the best arent they?!
