I'm new to Cavies and have a question...

I'm new to cavies. I just acquired two male guinea pigs a month or so ago. I just love them. I feed them timothy hay, spring mix (dark leafy veggies), pellets, and then alternate carrots, grapes and apples as treats. The other evening I was watching them jump and play on my bathroom floor. One of the males pees in the corner (which is not unusual) but after I put them away and went back to clean the pee up, it had turned BROWN. Has anyone seen this before? I hope I'm not feeding them something I shouldn't.

Nope, dont worry about that. That is completely normal. Either the pee mixed somehow with a partial dropping, either on foot or fur and sometimes it just turns that way when it dries on a non-poreous material.

In the summer to keep my piggies cool, I place a rubber bathmat inside the cage for them to lay on. When they urinate on the mat, or any other plastic , it always turns brown.

Sounds like you really care for your piggies and are doing a great job!
