Hey all! I am a new cavy mom and found your site. It's been so helpful so far! This fleece idea is fabulous for many reasons and I would have never even thought of it as an option on my own. Thanks for the great idea!

I went to the fabric store today and bought 3 different fleeces. My favorite is an ocean blue fleece with big orange goldfish all over it! Goldfish are my other pets :). I also got a few scrap fleeces to make cozies out of. Now tonight I saw a thread on cuddle cups! Geez I am going to be busy.

I can't wait to try it out - I will post pictures after I get everything assembled. I washed all of the fleece twice tonight so I figure that will be good enough for it to absorb the pee-times. I'm excited to get started~

I've only been using fleece a few weeks. I'm so glad I found this site or I never would have changed either. Fleece is so much better and easier than shavings.

Oh definitely. I've been trying to spot clean Linny's poops in the mounds of carefresh daily and I end up getting a lot of the bedding as I do. I remember thinking to myself that bedding was not going to be cheap and I'd need it often! lol. Then the same night I found the fleece idea. Big sigh of relief! I would think the piggies would probably prefer the fleece over shavings as well. Soft and cuddly!
