ideas for aggressive boars!!

I have three boars that, after a year of semi-peacefully living together, have become extremely aggressive and have caused serious damage to one another. I had them in a 2x5 grid cage, and now have them separated in smaller "pet store" cages. I want to build them new larger cages, but I need to build up and not out due to the limited space I have in my apartment. Does anyone have ideas? not only for cages, but help for my wrestling piggies?

A 2x5 is kind of small for 3 boars, try a 3x5 they will probably get along alot better.

I have considered this, but the problem is I don't have the floorspace for such a large cage... I can build "up", but not "out".

Try adding a 1x5 loft. It gives them that extra space to get away from one another when they start squabbling.

A loft or 2 will help. How old are they? Do you have at least 3 of everything in the cage?

Have you tried a buddy bath?

They have been together for about a year. 2 of the pigs are about a year old, and 1 is three years old. I bathed them all together when i first put them together, and bathed them again recently because they were a bit smelly. haha. I'm just concerned because the three year old ripped off half the ear of one of the younger ones, and in turn got his paw hurt. They are all fine now, but this type of fighting had never occurred before - the younger ones will constantly challenge the older one, but it had never gotten so aggressive. I have three of everything, but they seem to seek eachother out... do you still think lofts will work?? I'm sad my boys can't play nice...
