I Shall Never Understand It

I have a house in my girls cage that is plenty big enough for all three of them to fit in it nicely, yet only one ever sleeps in there. I don't know if she won't let the rest in or what, but the other two sleep under their second level. They will all run in and out of there to play, but when it comes time to relax, its always Ming-Ming that sleeps in there. Odd.

I have a pigloo that both my pigs can fit in, and one won't let the other in most of the time, because she is the dominant one. Is Ming-Ming the dominant one?

I have one of those supersized pigloos and my two boys fight over it. Plenty of room for both.

I don't who the dominant one is. Sometime it seems like Miss Piggy (shes the mom) but every now and again someone else plays the role of dominance. They havent really "argued" as to who is yet, but I'm sure that will come with time.

My three were like that so I have one big house for at least two to fit in, and one with two separate holes. One sleeps in the big one and the other two pick a hole in the other house. They used to cuddle, but no more.

My three piggies never sleep together in one place. Usually, Bonnie sleeps in the cat basket, Gobi under the ramp or the hammock and Zirbel in one of the houses. They don't fight about those places, one chooses and the others simply go elsewhere.

My 2 girls never sleep together. Penny is the dominant one and she is always kicking nickel out of a hidey house if she wants it.

Coco and Honey follow eachother around and sleep in the same pigloo"which is the normal version not the bigger version", cuddle cup and cozy.

 

[Ly&Pigs]

I make sure that there is one bed (pigloo, cavy cave, hammock, etc) for each pig in the cage. That way they all have their favorite place to lay or sleep.

 

[Quiet Things]

Streak, Cloud and Apricot seem to take turns. Sometimes I find just one in there hidy house, sometimes all three share and sometimes there are two. Howevere I have noticed that Streak and Cloud will gang up on Apricot if they want the house, even if only one of them wants the house.

Ha ha! That's too funny! I'm just picturing these big hulking GP's slowly moving towards the house and Apricot having this frightened look or her/his face and then screaming and running away! I know, I have an overactive imagination!

Very cute piggies! Now I can really see why Apricot goes screaming away when the other two gang up on her!

Ha! thats funny! Yeah Streak and Cloud are kind of daunting at times, and they are all big guinea pigs. I think they are getting a bit fat, they are all very squishy when I play with them. Anyone else have squishy pigs?
