I put my boys together!!

It will be 3 weeks tomorrow since I got Rusty..I COULDNT wait any longer. I interduced the boys yesterday, again today, and I cleaned out Charlies cage really well and cleaned everything in it..and put them together...and GUESS WHAT>..they really seem to like eachother. They were both in the same hidey house together. ( I have one on each level) Rusty LOVES the big cage. I use to wonder what popcorning ment..I had an idea..but now I have seen it..that is what rusty was doing when I put him in the big cage. Charle seems to enjoy the company. Hopefully they will become good friends.

That is great! I recomend you continue to watch them closely. There is the possibility that they may decide they dont like sharing their space. Also, dont get to nervous if/when they start to show dominence. My intro went great, but after a few days I got nervous when they started try to determine who was boss. It is all perfectly natural.

Wow, that's great! You just plopped them in the cage together and it worked. Is one of them much younger?

1 week from now, our new boy will arive and we'll be doing the same, so *crosses fingers* maybe I'll just try what you did.

I went with them bath idea. That seems to work great. I am going to be doing it again this weekend, we have a third boar from a recent litter to add. I am guessing this is going to be more difficult.

Well,,I didnt actually plop them in,,I waited acouple of days..I introduced them 2 days in arow. They did the dominence thing,,Charlie is like 4 months older than Rusty is. They still seem to be doing well together. They play and chase eachother around. It's so fun to watch. They have been sleeping together,,they share the veggies and pellets well. Hopefully they will continue to do that well.
