2 years ago I bought two guinea pigs from a lady. I only wanted one of the guinea pigs but they came together so I decided to just buy both. One is now 2 years old and the other is 5. I have taken great care of both of them but I think the time has came to finally rehome the 2 year old one. My parents want me to rehome the 5 year old one too but I don't want to because I know the end of his life is almost here. The 2 year old one is a male named Cocoa. He is very sweet and loves to cuddle, but can be shy sometimes. Where am I able to find someone who would love to give this cute guy an amazing home??

I am sorry to hear that you have to rehome your 2 year old boar. Ideally you can bring him to a local guinea pig or small animal rescue. Please Google to see if there are any rescues near you. Most animal shelters are full and are not accepting surrenders but perhaps yours are? You can also create a post and list on: https://www.petfinder.com/

Good luck with your rehoming and very glad to read that you plan to keep your senior pig.

Guinea pigs are herd animals, and they do better if they're with another guinea pig. Why make your older pig go through the rest of his life alone? Couldn't you wait until he's gone and then rehome the younger one?

They are both males and ever since I got them, they fight and have even ripped out chunks of fur from each other. They have been separated since that and now live in different cages so I hope that's understandable. They still get lots of attention, exercise, and love though.
