I wanted to do a science presentation about guinea pigs for school since its my turn to do science Friday, like a scientific thing about guinea pigs but i have no ideas. It has to be something relatively related to science. For example the girl before me did her science Friday on why cats can see in the dark. Thanks!!!

How about three different color but identical food dishes. Weigh the pellets and put precise amount in each dish. Watch and see which dish is eaten from more. I.e. Does color impact their preference? Just a thought. Can cavies see color anyway?

I did a science fair project similar to that in high school. What I did was take three bowls of different colors and put a treat in only one of them. After doing that several times, I rearranged the bowls but left the treat in the same color bowl. I wanted to see if they went to the location of the treat or the color bowl the treat was in. I had mixed results on that one. I did a few other experiments too, as I was trying to test whether males or females were smarter. My results were inconclusive on that front. I concluded that it had more to do with the individual pig than its sex.
