in my cage, but only one will stay in it. How come they both will not cuddle together? They are both females, they have not mated so they have to be, and they will not sleep together. If I give both of them celery and one finishes it early, he steals the other's celerey. I really feel bad for the one, I love them both, but what is the problem?

they will dont worry just give them time. Have you had them for long?

I have two female guinea pigs and they only like to huddle together when they are scared or the mom is harrassing the baby (which doesn't constitute as cuddling!). Guinea pigs, like people have personalities too. My friend's pigs like to cuddle together, but mine enjoy their own space and they each have their own igloos. When the Daddy was alive even then, he and the mommy rarely snuggled together. Maybe it just gets too hot for them.

As far as the food hogger, my momma guin is guilty of the same thing. My girls are over 3 years old. This never seems to change as it is the survival of the fittest. If you really want to make them be fair to each other you'll have to scold the fatty who likes to eat fast and steal the other's food when he does it. Over time the slower eater will figure it out. Usually he'll take his food and run off into another corner. This is what mine does now. She'll take it in her igloo to eat in peace.

Do not worry, the pigs still love each other. Only be concerned if they are fighting by biting the other pigs and pulling out large chunks of hair. I only experienced this when we had guest guinea pigs for 6 months. My alpha pig didn't like the other alpha pig in the guest group. There was a lot of friction.

It is funny how first impressions are lasting even with animals. My friend's pig got scared and attacked my pigs even though mine were being sweethearts and curious. My friend was so shocked his pigs could act this way. After that, my fatty alpha momma never liked the guest group and I had to keep them separated from fighting. Only in a situation like this should you be concerned and separate them. Otherwise, it sounds like yours act normally.

I have had them for about, 2 years I think, or 3. They have never fought at all, but the igloo thing was an issue. I only have 1 big one >_<. I guess when I build my new cage I will include 2 small ones and some other surprises for them.
Thanks for the feedback :)
