I caught one of my boar's literally climbing out of his cage last night.
I walked in and from his front leg's and up were over the top of the grid~!!
Busted, now I put a lid on so it dosen't happen again, I really didn't think they could do it unless there was something to jump from like a igloo etc but he has proved otherwise. Naughty boy... he just sat there like maybe I wouldn't notice him hehehe

That's funny! I'm glad you put a lid on.

Good catch.

lol thats funny and its weird the same thing happened to my old hamster... the lid wasn't on right and if i hadn't of stayed up that night i would of never seen her head pop out of the computer drowr(sp?) LOL it was funny because i was typeing and the cage was were my printer is now and i just saw a little black head pop out around the corner :)

Whoops, I didn't actually mean I caught him in mid flight or anything, more like sprung him in the act.

I know my boar would do that if I didn't have a well secured lid. He's always trying to think of new ways getting out of his cage and visit his lady friends.

I have the lid secured with no less then 7 velcro ties. I can't wait till he's old enough to be neutered.

I could leave the door open and put 500 pieces of their favorite veggies outside the door and they will not leave their cage. I guess I wont have to worry about escaping.

That's funny. He saw you come in and froze! He must have thought to himself... is I don't move, she won't notice, then I can make my great escape.

Yeah he did stay really still... he was just looking at me with his big eyes , probally thinking "please let me do it...I'll be good"!
He's tried again today to climb up the same spot but he get's to the top and just sticks his nose/mouth through the grids cause it's enclosed now..I'm sure he says "Bugga"!

I am waiting for one of my new girls to go over the wall. I just brought them home on Sunday and they are in a C&C cage without a lid. Gabby is a little daredevil and one morning soon I am expecting to find her gone. Her nose touches the top of the grid when she stands on her back legs - hopefully she will fill out instead of getting longer which should make it harder for her to climb.
