Hi Piggerz! If you don't mind, where do you work in Sheboygan Falls? I work at Aldrich in Falls.

I work at St. Mary School, on the corner of Giddings Ave. (Hwy 32) and Summer St. near the downtown. I'm a secretary.

Just wanted to throw in an update. Bogie and Gable are adjusting well. I switched to the fleece and they seem happier with that. They are now wheeking for veggies and sticking their noses up by the top of the cage. And yesterday started popcorning. :) I want to thank you ALL so much for your help and advice.

I don't think anyone answered your pellet question from a few posts back, so I thought I would address that for you. 1/8-1/4 cup of pellets per pig daily is more than enough. If they don't eat that many pellets, that's ok too. Definitely make sure they are eating their hay and veggies though. By your earlier account, they don't seem to have any problem with that.

I adore your pigs names. I'm a sucker for themed names though. :) Glad to hear they are doing well.

Thanks! They LOVE hay and veggies and attack them with vigor as soon as they are in. And I notice at night if they go through all the hay they will eat the pellets too, I just don't give them as much.

Make sure you put more hay in if you notice they are running low or are out. They should have hay available 24/7.

I've been testing it to see how much I need to put in there. So far they seem to go through it all by morning.

Oh the boys are so pretty - I mean handsome!!! Yay for getting them home!

My girls don't scarf on the pellets either - but they do eat them. So I second the fact that as long as they are eating the veggies and hay, and sometimes the pellets - you're good!

I'm a tad envious that they will eat the veggies out of your hand. Our newly adopted girl, Emma, is still very shy and not ready to do so yet. She has no problem coming out for food and foraging around - even if she isn't as enthusiastic as our older girl, Pilot [who we've had nearly 2.5 years]. But won't take anything from my hand yet. But it hasn't even been a full week so I should remind msyelf to be more patient!! Of course Pilot BEGS for the food, tries to climb in the baggies if I have them near, or the hay bags.... ..........

I still don't know how you actually put pictures into your messages but I wanted to add a couple more pigtures of my babies. I added some pics elsewhere of their cage too. They've become more social, at least Bogie has especially at veggie time. :p
