Wait 72 days and see if a baby comes out.

Just kiddin - go to Guinealynx.com and check out the guide on GP care and there is a whole section on pregnancy.

Good luck!

I'm assuming you have a sow, or you wouldn't be asking. Has she been with an intact boar?

Also increase of diet is also a good sign that she is pregnant. Or if she starts to gain a little more, more rapidly than usual.

ROFL ok that cracked me up!!!! That's about it - wait and see!!!

Weigh weekly and keep track of weight gain. A large weight gain is your first clue to pregnancy. The sow's body will take on a pear shape and she will get really huge. At about 7 weeks you can feel the babies moving/kicking.

Why do you think you might have a pregnant sow?

I had a pregnant sow and i reliased that you don't really notice until 3-4 weeks before...she'll get pretty fat, plus i read within 7 days of delivering a little opening in the back appears, within 48 hours that opening is really big! (Maybe an inch or more....)

Also i hope your guinea pig is under 8 months old....or had little ones before.

Good luck, they are fun to see running around following the leader.

Ps. Births usually happen at daytime.

oh forgot to add....

you have to hold the future mother very carefully to support all the weight, minimize holding her....
