How to make Bunk Beds

That is so clever..I am going to have to try that. Thanks!!

thats brilliant lol :)

how big are the bowls?

that is pretty neat!

Sweet-looking!!!! :) 1 question... the piggy is able to reach the top level?

Very clever design, and thank you for putting up such nice detailed pictures for everyone.

THey have no problem getting into the bunk bed. Even the baby gets up there by himself and he is just 3 months old. The bowls are a decent size. Probably not quite as tall as your standard petshop pigloo. Remember, if you get them at a $1 store and they are not quite right, you are not out a lot of money.

The one with the bottom gets really icky because they poop and pee in it. Just find a plastic bowl and cut a large hole in it, making sure there aren't sharp parts. Or, you can make a tunnel thing out of an ice cream bucket by cutting two large holes in it. (see my pics)

Brilliant! I wish I could think of this stuff!!

Stupid question though...the edges look smooth in the final product - what did you use to smooth them?

Wow! That is SO COOL!!! I just love it! I have all these ideas of things to give my piggs, and my mom's like, "We'll see," or something equivilant to "Let's let the piggs settle in before we give them all this stuff!" *sigh* I'll have to add it all in little by little, I guess. Oh, well. (That's probably smarter, anyway. Don't want to overwhelm them!)

(Emmet sure looks comfy! The other one does, too...)

Erm, what do you call the thing in the top bowl? (A while back, that was what I thought a cozy looked like. LOL :)

Very cool, DaCourt!! Your directions were excellent!

GPDaisy, there are two ways you can smooth the edges. One is by sanding them. Just keep snading until you it feels smooth. You can also do a light melt. Use your BBQ lighter and hold it close to the edges of the pigloo. When it is very warm (almost hot), you can mold the plastic how you want by just running your fingers down it.

CactusCavy...I was great to see you on Saturday. Have fun with your new pigs.

Oh, I am! The annoying thing is, I'm supposed let them settle in the first couple of days!! And that menas leavin' them alone in their cage!!!

The 99 cents store, you say? Hmmm... Maybe I should go talk with my mom... (I just LOVE your idea of bunk beds!!)
