Fleece How to get the hair off the fleece?

I've tried this, recommended by @YourSoJelly

I've also tried a pot scrub

Between the two, I get a lot of the hairs off, but not all. The deal with my mum is that, if I can get all the hairs off, I can use the washing machine. But it means hours standing outside brushing and scraping and picking. Is there a quicker way?

I tend to put mine out on the washing line on a windy day although not sure your mum will like this too much either but maybe if it was after you had the majority off already? Xx

Try getting the hairs off while the fleece is still in the cage so there is surface tension, much easier than when the fleece is blowing in the wind.

You could try latex gloves, I haven't really used them with the fleece, but I get a whole lot of hairs off of the towels underneath this way. Just put on the gloves and brush over the fleece with your hands.


Also look into washing bags to put the fleece in. They let through the water, but hairs stay inside so the washing machine stays clean. There are a couple of topics on this I think.

I just put the fleece inside an old pillowcase and tie a knot. When the fleece is outside in the line drying the wind ends up removing some of the hairs. I don't even try to remove them, it's just hair anyway

That's a good idea So, you put them in an old pillow case in the washing machine? That would be a much better way.

I tried it out and it works great! I do still have to give it a brush to get hay and poops off But I don't have to spend ages and ages trying to get hair off! Thanks!
