Hopefully, I will be getting some piggies soon and am having trouble with veggies. What kinds of vegetables can/should i give them and how much of each? I will only be able to feed in the evening on weekdays but twice a day on weekends (if that matters). I would love to be able to give them a bunch of different kinds everyday but I cannot afford it. I am only 13 and make $10 a week but also have 2 cockatiels to take care of (though, I only buy them food about once every 6 weeks). Any suggestions/advice? Thanks for taking the time to read this (and hopefully responding). :)

Good daily foods are lettuce, bell peppers, small amounts of cilantro and maybe one baby carrot (or baby carrot sized piece of regular carrot) per day. The only lettuce you shouldn't feed is iceberg. I get that spring mix for my herd - it's great for variety and they all love it. You can also then mix in some other things that will vary from day to day like cucumbers, zucchini, fruits, etc. Watch out for veggies high in calcium or fruits that are higher in sugar - only feed those in moderation.

Thanks for the advice. I will be sure to watch for high calcium veggies (and fruits), too.

I learn something new everyday.
I thought cilantro was ok daily.

What is it high in and what would be the physical pitfalls of too much?

I'm not sure I understand your question. This is what I said:

Good daily foods are ... small amounts of cilantro ...
That doesn't contradict your thought that cilantro is okay daily. I'd not feed it in copious amounts, though, because it's relatively high in calcium (68 mg/100 grams). Too much calcium, in the overall diet, can lead to sludge or stones.
