So my guinea pig Derby(previously named Squiggles) is about 3 1/2 months old and I wanted to know how much pellets to feed him daily. He eats Oxbow Young Guinea Pig pellets and I've been feeding him about 1/8 of a cup a day. He gets unlimited hay everyday and veggies daily. I have heard that some people give their gp's as much pellets as they eat but I've also heard that since they don't necessarily NEED pellets to survive, you just give a certain amount daily. I just wanted some you're opinions and suggestions.

I put just over 1/4 cup in to my girls bowl, sometimes a little more, just because they go through them unbelievably quickly. I think 1/8 cup is fine for a young, lone piggie.

Young pigs (less than six months) can have unlimited pellets.
