How Much is TOO Much?

I have two male pigs. How much fighting is TOO much? Lately they have started arguing more than they used to. Not serious, just lots of teeth chattering and chasing each other around. So how do I know when I need to seperate them? Usually they get along great, just want to make sure this isn't bad. Want to know when I should possibly seperate them into two seperate cages. TIA

You should let them sort things out on their own unless there is bloodshed.

It's perfectly normal as long as there is no bloodhed or constant chasing from food/water.

ok thanks everyone. that is very good to know. no, no blood and they don't really even nip at each other (just once in a while) it seems to be more talk then anything. and thankfully they eat together and don't have a problem when their mouths are full lol

I see your cage dimensions are three feet by 2.5 feet. Boars need more space than that, I'd recommend a 2x5 grid cage, so they have ample space to get away from each other.

I have two boars that are both fairly young and I noticed them fighting a good deal more, so I added a second level to my cage that is shaped like an L, with one side going the entire length of the cage (4 cubes) and the other side 2 cubes... it's kind of hard to explain, but you can look in my gallery to see it. With this setup it allows enough room for one guy to get away from the other and still have enough room to run around. I've found that one "claims" the top, while the other mainly stays on the bottom. Since doing this, I haven't noticed them fighting at all.

lol actually im planning to expand their cage when I move in july. i'm going to make it a 2x5 two story with a hay loft as the 3rd level (1x5)
