How much have you spent?!

I just wanted to kind of take a poll and see if you all could tell me approx. how much money you spend on your piggy/piggies a year/ or month. I have a turtle too and I did this same poll on a turtle website, the replies were amazing! Just wondering! TIA!

per year, ill spend about $95. of course, it is a little less for me, i get really cheap hay and pellets, and i dont use disposable bedding.

Per month I spend about £20, and that is just the cost of the veggies. I buy the pellets, hay and bedding in bulk

In a month I spend about £70 but that is for 23 and still buying in bulk it is the veg that costs me a fortune and it does not last that long

Well my one pigg (I only have one as of now) goes through a 5lb bag of food every two months.
So for last month-
Food (pellets)- $1.39
Veggies/fruits- $4
Bedding- $4.00 (maybe less not sure)
Hay- $2.00
Water- FREE (lol)
I don't think I forgot anything so here is the total
$11.39 last month

He usually goes to the vet once a month too. Sometimes it is free other times they charge $10 to see him. They don't charge me because he isn't sick when I bring him in they just check his eyes, and other things etc. And I also get it free because I don't ask to take him into a room. They just take him to the back of the clinic and look at him. If I were to bring him in and he was sick etc. Then they would charge me.

I usually get something called Wagner's, but once in a while I might buy some cavy cuisine and put a small amount of cavy cuisine in and a larger amount of wagners. I used to use some other food. I forget what it was called but it was also as cheap as wagners.

I get my red peppers (and also green and red), tomatoes, oranges, spinach, parsley, and apples free. But I have to buy my own romaine lettuce. Works out great!
And then I grow pears, plums, and some mini tomatoes in my back yard.
So basically all my veggies are free!

My dad gets the parsley and apples from his job. And my friends mom gets all the peppers, oranges, and tomatoes free. You just have ask around and pretty soon you find that a lot of people have excess veggies and fruits to give away!
During the late spring and summer I get free strawberries.
And then I already told you what I grow in my yard.
And I buy my romaine lettuce. But I am trying to see if I can get it for free from some where.
On average in one week my free veggie deliveries as I call them are-
Peppers- 2 of each kind so 6 peppers (usually freeze some of them or my mom will use them to cook dinner if she needs to)
Apples- like tons (5-10) I eat some of them myself
Parsley- really big bunches (4 big bunches)
Tomatoes- 3
Oranges- 3
Sometimes I get carrots free but lately I haven't gotten any.

I probably live waayyy far away from you lol. Otherwise I would give ya some. Sometimes I never even use all of them. Well just be sure to ask around ok. I bet you can get free veggies and fruits some how!

ill ask around, but i highly doubt it. dont know anyone who is a farmer or even likes to garden. dont know anyone that works at a grocery store either.

when im old 15, as a high school job, i think ill work at a grocery store so i can get cheaper veggies. LOL.

You can get a working permit at 14.

I spend about 4-6 dollars on veggies per week, a bit more if I get something extra for them such as cantalope or parsley. Where I get my veggies they don't have parsley so I have to go to Dierbergs or Shop N Save for parsley.

I am 15 *turned 15 in September* (even though you didn't ask me lol) but I asked and the work permit and it is 14 here in Oregon. But not every place will accecpt you. But places like Dairy Queen will. I was going to get a job there but at the time was too busy. And now I am still too busy lol.Maybe in the summer. lol
