Fruit how much fruit is best?

When feeding fresh fruit would be better once or twice a week? Mostly apples.

Twice would be fine, if in small amounts. Ly's diet samples are great about this. (First sticky on diet and nutrition)

Personally, I usually give my girls small amounts twice a week...and I find THIS hard to do-- because I just can't help spoiling them with things they love ! :sad: (WIMP) If it were not for Ly&Pigs awesome well balanced sample daily diet menu's and charts, and believing them to be the best out there, I know I would "spoil" them into the "dentist's office" or worse, an earlier death.

Honestly, I think the least amount of fruit they have, the better...so I would try to stick to once a week if you can. Here are her links below, for you to "click" out !

kathlaaron, I feel the same way. I give one small serving of fruit once every 3 days (twice a week) and when I do I have to sit back and watch Nikki devour it because she loves it.
Her favorite fruit is probably apples... though all pigs have different likes/dislikes.

Yeah... I really hear you Nikkipig.... for I really am not kidding...I truly do have a hard time sticking to twice a week ! Sigh. Cuddles favourite fruit is seedless green grapes. She also loves apples, clementines, cantaloupe, watermelon, kiwi, fresh ripe strawberries. Buttercup thankfully, could take or leave most fruits.

You know what both Cuddles and Buttercups TOP favourite food is though ? PARSLEY. They go absolutely nuts over parsley !!! However, I can only give that too....in small amounts 2-3 times a week. UGH. Sure wish they loved cilantro which they can have every day if they want to..but of course, they could take or leave that too...they will eat it, but don't really care all that much for it.

Mine go nuts over watermelon rind. It's the only thing they fight over. With pretty much everything else, the first pig that gets it can have it, but they each get an end of the watermelon rind and yank each other all over the cage with it. It's really​ funny to watch!

I havent tried fruit rinds yet because we werent in that season when we got her. I am very excited to try new things with her though.
