I really want to try fleece for our new cage. I've used fleece for floor time but have had carefresh in the cage. I have a 2x5 c&c coming next week and I believe carefresh might break the bank. Ha. So I was just wondering if anyone that has this size cage w/fleece could tell me how much fleece I should get? And what is the best way to keep the sides down so my dust buster doesn't suck the fleece up while cleaning. Thanks.

Probably four yards of it?
Also, it helps to use a beach towel under it.
You can use slate or bricks in the corners to hold it down. This also helps keeping the nails down and provides a nice cool surface to lay on if wanted.

It depends how wide it is at the store. Where I got mine(hancock fabrics) the spool things were in 60in wide pieces so all I neede for my 2x6 was 2.5 yds, and when I got hom I cut it in half giving me 2 sets. You will need about 2 yds long.

Five grids long is exactly 2 yards so there wouldn't be extra fleece to tuck over the edges, it would just lie flat in the cage. Also I'm not sure if the fleece shrinks after washing as I've done all my measuring and cutting afterwards. For a 2x5 you will need a minimum of 2 yards and 24", assuming your coroplast walls are 6" high and you want to tuck the fleece over the sides. If it were me I would just get 3 yards and use the leftovers for cozies.
