How many teeth do guinea pigs have?

They have 20 teeth. They have 2 upper incisors and 2 lower incisors, 2 upper premolars and 2 lower premolars, 6 upper molars, and 6 lower molars.

I only have 28 teeth even without having my wisdom teeth removed. I still have 2 of my baby teeth because I just didn't have any permanent teeth grow there. I think most mammals have around 20-30 teeth so guinea pigs are about average.

I have 28 too.. my wisdom teeth haven't come yet. I thought it was around 20 or 24 that guinea pigs have.

I think I have about 28 too. And wow I always though piggys had only about 10 teeth! I learned something today!

It is a lot for a little pigs mouth - when I first got them I thought they only had 4! I too have 28 teeth

I have 31 teeth! Only three of my wisdom teeth have ever grown - I've had them in since I was 16 (Ack - that's been 16 years then!). There is no trace of a fourth one. My mother is the same. As humans are evolving to no longer grow wisdom teeth is a bit of a joke in our family that my Mom and I are 'evolutionarily more advanced'.
