I have 1 and another one moving in in a few weeks :) I'd love to have more, maybe like 4 but I don't have the space in my room for a cage big enough! I'll be needing to expand these guys' cage though when they get bigger, met Elmo's parents yesterday and they were BIG! Noah was the littlest one in his litter though so he might not match up.

Good luck with the new one. Hope all goes well with the both of them. I currently have 4 with 5 babies on the way so at the end of this I'll have only 6 all together I hope. I can't keep all the babies cause I don't the space although I wish I did. Best of luck to you and your piggy and new piggy.

Thank you. I have a home for 2 babies so i just gotta find a home for one more. Sorry about that, I miscounted.
I only meant it jokingly :D, and I'm sure someone is willing to adopt some piggies from you eventually, who could resist. Most of the time I tell people about my piggies and they see them and they wonder how I can remember all of their names. The 4 American short haired all look very similar, I'm glad I can tell the difference. :p

Eventually we'd like some more when there's more room. I still want a texel, which is what Curly was erroneously adopted as, and my girlfriend wants an Abyssinian.

There is a gorgeous texel male at the rescue I'm adopting from near Pittsburgh, you would just have to drive a few hours to get him ;)

Thank-you! No doubt I will upload pictures if they get along. I met Elmo yesterday, he's only 5 days old and a couple of inches big! Too adorable :)

Lol I know. I think that when they are your pets you know and remember their names even if they look the same because their personalities are different. So that's how we can tell. Other people would find it difficult and confusing.

Awww so cute. So you have to wait like 2 more weeks before you can bring him home then right? I'm still waiting for Princess to have her 3 babies. I hope it all goes well. I think they will get along just fine. It may take then a few days or weeks to get used to each other. Crossing my fingers they get along from day one

Yes the 4 of mine look very similar, but my other 2 that are completely different breeds I could tell them apart miles away. This is how I can tell the difference, I have a pure black one biscuit but she has one very fine white hair on her head, cookie is again pure black but she has a splash of caramel colour on her right shoulder, butterscotch is black all over with a few caramel splashes and coco is dark brown. Whereas my aby rose is all white with brown ring around one eye and black ring around the other, and Maisy is a big ball of fluff with a black head, white body, brown on one end of the rear and black on the other.

I have 6! LOL It's a LOT of work and a TON of money for veggies, but I love them. I have a 2x5 with a 1x2 add on for the kitchen for my two biggest girls. A 2x3 for the mom and her baby girl. And a 3x3 for my two baby boys. I have a whole wall in the living room for my babies. As the baby girl get's bigger, I plan on expanding the 2x5 into a 3x5 and putting all the girls in it. Then, as the boys get bigger, I plan on adding a second level for them. But I still have a little ways to go before I can pull that off. :)

That all sounds great. Would love to see you cages when they are done and pics of all your piggies then.

I have two sows in a 3x5 - because of how expensive the vet bills are, two is definitely my limit.

That's a big cage for 2 piggies. They must be really happy.

I'll do what I can to show you some pics of the cages real quick. Comet is my avatar. He was one day old in that picture.

Tasha and Lola's cage is the first pic. Tasha and Lola is the second. Coal and Trixie's cage is the 3rd pic. Coal is the big pig in the 4th pig. Trixie and Speed are in the little bed and Comet is the brave one standing outside of it. And then Speed and Comet's cage is the last pic.

I only have 1 and desperately want to get her a sister! I need to expand my cage a bit since it's only a 3x2 with a 1x2 loft. & that's hard to do because I don't have room in my bedroom, I was hoping to be moved out by now and then I was going to redesign it, but I'm not sure when that's happening now so I might see if I can figure something else out! I've also been looking for a baby girl to adopt and have yet to find one. :( Hopefully soon!

Thanks, Mommyof2 :) I hope they are!

I used to live in a 150 sq ft apartment, where a 2x3 BARELY fit, and my dream was to give them a bigger space as soon as I moved. My new apartment is still a studio, but it's bigger, so I set up the largest cage I could - it's right in the middle of the room :) If I move to a bigger place, I would love to expand it for them again!

After living with a 3x5 for a while, I realized that even that is not really a huge space for them, considering it's their whole house.
