URI/Upper Respiratory Infection How long?

How long can a guinea pig have a URI before it becomes fatal. NO my piggies do not have them. Just a question.

There is no formula for it. I am sure some go downhill more quickly than others. In a nutshell I would say best case scenario once symptoms are noticeable you have a matter of days, not weeks. Worst case, hours/day.

I'm curious what would make you as a question like that?

Do you mean treated or untreated? My piggie that I bought from Petsmart (before I knew better) was sneezing from the day we got her. We took her to the vet and it took 4 rounds of 2 different antibiotics and almost 2 full months before she got 100% better. It got much worse before it got better, and she nearly died from pneumonia, but we were able to save her with prompt medical care and a switch of antibiotics.

If it had remained untreated I believe she would not be alive today, she probably wouldn't have made it past that first week with us.
