My shirt-haired Guinea pig just had to have surgery, and they had to shave off a patch of her fur. about how long does it take to grow back to normal? I can only seem to find answers for long-haired guinea pigs. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure guinea pigs have hair. Not fur.

I'm not sure exactly. I remember it took about a month or so for Flyn's to grow back, but it was only a little from hair-pulling. It might depend for each pig.

My short-haired sow had her belly shaved for an ultrasound. She looked hilarious! I stopped noticing the bald patch after a couple of weeks but it was probably a month or more before it was fully grown back in.
