How do I get my piggies to use the ramp?

I just built my cavy cage, and I was wondering how do you get them to use the ramp?

You could try and coax them up their with fruit treats or hay.

I tried the hay, but I could try fruit though. Thanks for the idea!

I put several different treats in the "loft." Then I just picked them up and put them in the loft. They figured out that to get down again they would have to use the ramp. They also realized that all the cool stuff was upstairs, so they used the ramp to get up!!!

At first, my piggies weren't so sure about the whole ramp thing. I made a trail of treats (lettuce and carrots) up the ramp and into the second floor. It worked great, just try to find the food your piggies love.

I just kept putting my pigs upstairs every once in a while and eventually they started going up by themselves. But make sure you put something up there that would entice them to go up! haha
