i will have 7 males by next week right now
1 is in one cage
2 in another
then another 2
and another 2

i also have 1 female in her own cage

if i was to make a c&c cage how big would it have to be for 7 males?

do you think they would get along?

or should i have different cages?

also do you think my female needs a friend?

Wow! What changed that you are going to be taking on all of these males?

18 grids squared would be the overall floor area would be about as small as I would go. That works out to a 2x9, but I would never go 2 wide with that many pigs. With that many males, I would do a 4x5 cage if you can.

The determining factor for whether or not this will work is the pigs. Hopefully you have some relaxed boys! If you can do a 4x5 and you do proper intros, and the sow isn't right next to their cage, then you can definitely make it work. Plenty of step stools, water bottles, hay racks, and food bowls are needed as well.

And yes, your female would probably greatly appreciate a friend.

I would go even farther and keep the female(s) in a whole separate room.

I had two males once (living separately) and was rabbit-sitting, and they turned into a ball of fur because she was in the same room as they were. Never introduced them to each other again, one of them got a big gash on his nose. :(

Wow 7!! I hope they all get along! I have 4 males right now happily all living in the same cage but they are all of the fat, lazy piggy persuasion. Even Buddy Pig who is 5 months old is fat and lazy. lol Let us know how the introductions go!
