Mischief has started making this bizarre hiccuping noise. I took her to the vet a week and a half ago for a slightly runny nose and coughing. She was given antibiotics (which she is still on). Since then, the coughing has stopped, but her nose runs on and off. It seems to happen worse when the heater is on. She's eating fine. She's stopped drinking so much because of the antibiotics in the water, so I've taken to syringing it to her (she'll take it from the syringe, but not the water bottle). She still seems fairly active. The only change is that odd hiccuping noise. Do any of you have any clues? She does it a single time. Sometimes she goes hours without a peep. Sometimes she'll do it two or three times within ten to twenty minutes of each other. I'm fairly certain it's not wheezing, and her lungs sound clear.
Beyond that, do you feel that the prolonged runny nose should be a concern? Again, it comes and goes. The same happens to me when the heat is on, so I thought it could possibly be allergies.
