Hi,

I have just registerd.... I love Guinea Pigs and always have hehe... I have 5 Guinea Pigs... 2 Boys and 3 Girls. I was only going to get one for my Birthday but that changed when we found out that the Girl i got was pregnent :)
But i got the keep the Babys in the end:) And the 5th Guinea Pig i talked my Dad into letting me buy her a few days ago... but the 2 Girls i am going to put her in with are being ver mean :weepy: Dook-Dook is about 2 - 3 Years old and Sandy is about 2 years old... and the New one is only about 4-5 weeks old from what i can tell... Dook-Dook is Sandys mother and they have been together ever since Sandy was born:) So we think it might have somthing to do with the age different right:confused: Right now she is is in a little Cage on the Grass next to them during the day... the other 2 are in a bigger cage during the day and at night the 2 older ones go into a big cage so when it rains they dont get fludded... and the baby is in a little cat cage all raped up at night:) and they are alll very happylol And every day i am putting a cloth in with the 2 older girls with the babys smell on it to try and get them used to it:) is there any other idea on how to help??

I have also talked my Mum and Dad into letting me breed them hehe I know some one who also breeds them... (i think he still does) He works at the local produse lucklylol

Please if any one else can help please let me know!! Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. This is a wondeful site for reliable information.
But....
This is an anti breeding forum. Most of the members with get pretty mad if you talk about breeding your guinea pigs.
I think you should read this http://guinealynx.info/breeding.html
Why would you want to breed your piggies. You are endangering their lives. Why don't you adopt, if you want more piggies?
Please reconsider breeding, think of the animals not of yourself.

Just to reiterate, this is a very Anti-Breeding forum and website. We are also very anti-petstore.

The best things you can do for your pigs are:
1. Keep the males and females separated into different cages.
2. Build C&C or C&C alternative cages to give them the room they need.
3. Keep them INDOORS, they are not livestock and should not be kept outside.
4. DO NOT BREED.

Wow, that was quite an eyeful up there. I would go ahead and listen to everything everyone else said, but I would like to add that maybe you should go to the forum rules and have a quick peek. Take a look around the entire site *theres so much to learn!!* and be sure to post pigtures like D3MP said. Welcome to the forum.

You forgot to mention about not filling up posts with loads of smilies!
Egads, I couldn't tell whether to try to read or look at comics.

I find it hard to read because of the way it is written and it has too many smilies in it for me. Another thing, please seperate your boars from your sows, would you like to be constantly bred from?

If you stop feeding it, it will die.

It has been stated earlier in this thread; that this forum is anti-breeding, so you don't mention breeding here. By reading this forum through, you can clearly see the views that this forum has. If you want to talk about breeding, join a forum where breeding is accepted.

Sorry for all this confusion... I am not a troll (i had to get mum to explain it) I didnt relise this was a Non breeding forum... I first came here to ask for ideas on how to introduse my new little girl Piggy to the older Girls....
I do keep the boys and girls in seperate cages at all times... and i would not breed those cause they are all closly related.
I live in Queensland Australia it is summer here and if i kept my Guinea Pigs inside they would die of heat stroke. That is why they are out side inthe shade on the grass which i can wet (not the guinea pigs. the grass) down a couple of times a day to help them stay cool.
I see i am on the wrong Forums to ask these sorts of questions. I will not bother you all again. Sorry

This forum provides a wealth of information. We just dont promote breeding, petstores, etc. If you do breed, keep it to yourself, any other questions feel free to ask. You will recieve great information from the members on this site.

Do you care about your animals at all? Basically, what you said is that it's no big deal if the mother dies. Would you feel the same way if it were a dog or a cat? Hey, it's just an animal right! :yikes:
