Hey everyone,

I've been busy and havent been around the site lately. I just wanted too let everyone know that my piggies are doing great. I am hoping to maybe get pictures soon, hopefully with my cousins camera. I just have one question does anyone elses piggies not do much when they go for floor time. I give mine floor time and then they just hide in the only little house in their. They never come out they just like to lay in their house. Is this normal?

Thanks for the time.

yeh one of my piggies does that, he may not be used to it and he feels safer hidden away. give him time and im sure he will get to love it!

My piggy used to do that too. One solution is to drape a bedsheet over the play-pen area so at least they feel comfortable enough to come out of their house and explore. When they get more comfortable in future floor-times, you can gradually reduce the area covered by the sheet until you don't need it anymore. Hope that helps.

Mine do that. They'll run around for 10 minutes then sit in their hidey houses for an hour! I spread food around the pen and make sure they have loads of dark places --> cardboard boxes...

THanks everyone. I was just looking at them after i woke up and my one was laying there all kind of stretched out, it was pretty cute haha. Thanks again.

It sure is normal! Some just are lazy and love looking around. Some are also just not used to floor time yet, and like hiding. To each his/her own, I guess.

my pigs will come out if im extra queit but if i make a sudden movement they will hide and wont come out for ages!!

I was just wondering, would it be ok to feed them these things i bought as treats. They are called Super pet Bark BItes---The Natural Wood Chew With a Crunchy Bark Crust. It says they are for hamsters, gerbils, mice, and other furry friends, so i figured they'd be fine for my piggies. What do you think?
On the back it says all natural, prevents overgrown incisors, and no artificial flavours or colors. Thanks
