Fate once again brought a guinea pig into my life.

A fb friend of mine posted a guinea pig and accessories for free and said she was going to be dropping him off at the shelter the next morning if no one came to get him. She "rescued" him from Petland, has young children and one turned out to have allergies to him. A couple years ago she got her kids a rabbit and they scared it to death... I told her that the local shelter didn't take guinea pigs and if she didn't find a new home I would take him, needless to say with-in the hour I was on my way to her house. lol

A couple of my pigs recently passed away leaving only one young female and I didn't know if I wanted to get more pigs again. As soon as I brought him into the room she started calling to him, he ran out of his house and started looking around, I don't know if he knows how to "chat" yet.

Once I'm done with my renos I will build a large cage so Daisy and Howie can be next to each other.

That's an adorable peeg! I have a strong affinity for orange/red piggies, and he's no exception. I'm glad you have found a new little guy, especially after the hard times you've had lately. I'm sure you'll spoil him quite thoroughly!

He is very cute. I have always wanted a long haired guinea pig

He must have been picked on a lot before he was bought from the pet store. The ear facing the camera is missing 3 large chunks and he has small missing patches of fur with scabs on his back. I checked him over for lice or mites and didn't see anything.
