Help! My little Roo has a patch of fur and skin bitten off beind his head. I know one of the other boys did it. It isn't bleeding it's just sore and pink. Should I seperate them? Is there a need? If so how long? Will he need any special attention?

yes seperate them right away!

Ok. Ill go do that now. Anyone else have any suggestions for the transition?

THey aren't fighting. Now. I am going to seperate too thought still.

If their not fighting then don't seperate them.. your'll just make it worse for when you re-introduce them.

If you are not sure that it is actually a bite wound, I would not separate, as Rachy said it could make reintroductions harder. I would definetely watch them for a while though to make sure that there is no serious fighting going on. It could have also been an accidental bite. My girls nip at each other every so often and usually no harm comes from it, but the odd time a cut will result, but I would never separate them for this reason. If the cut is bad enough you may want to put on a little polysporin (the original kind, nothing special) to aid in the healing and to ward off any infection.

I would not separate either. There has been no blood drawn, just a little hair pulled out. Just keep an eye on them.

oh i thought you said there was blood im really sorry i should have read it more cleary.

It is a bite wound because i saw him get hurt. Piglet bit him and I thought it was his ear but when I checked, It was behind his head. The way I know it was bleeding earlier is the top 1 or 2 layers of skin were ripped off.
