Fur Help! Losing fur?

I'm both confused and worried! About a week ago I was holding my piggy and noticed a stray tuft of fur, that when I pulled it came right out. Way more than I feel is normal. There weren't any marks or anything to point to fighting or bugs. Then, today after giving my girls some floor time I picked them up. Each one had a stray tuft come out. Both times it has been close to the rump.
I did notice when they were playing one was chattering and chasing the other's rump. But I'm still not sure if that is it, so I'd like to explore all options when trying to pinpoint a cause. I do not believe it is a nutrient problem, as they get hay, alfalfa pellets and fresh veggies on a regular basis. Neither pig has any bald spots or scratches a lot to make me point to mites. But as I stated I want to explore all possibilities.
Help me please! I'm worried about my girls.

Losing tufts of hair can sometimes be a sign of a fungus. When you're holding her, ruffle the hair on her rump backwards and see if you can see anything wrong with the skin. If so, you'll need to treat for the fungus, as well as do an extensive cage cleanup.

But they can sometimes pull out little tufts of hair with their teeth when they're grooming themselves, so it might not be anything to worry about.

I agree with bpatterns. losing fur can be a sign of fungus, stress, mites, lack of nutrition, and even fighting! Because there are no significant marks leading you to any type of bugs, mites, or fighting, it is most likely fungus, although i am not to sure. Just fallow the instructions that bpatterns gave you and your piggy will be healthy in no-time!
