Hello. I am a proud owner of 2 piggies that I love very much. They just recently started loving each other too. It wasn't always that way. I got my second one about a few days ago. I've been researching about how to socialize them properly (thanks to cavyspirit.com. It was the most helpful sight of them all) and I thought I would get a second piggy, take the proper steps and they would be best friends and hit it off. But it didn't necessarily happen that way. I put them on a unrecognized surface and had my towel in hand, they went up to each other, sniffed and then my first one (mocha, she's about 6 months now) started showing dominance behavior. I hurried up and separated them, then took another go at it. They continued to do this, so I tried the handy bath trick. I put the both in the bath together and bathed them, and they actually bonded! They weren't showing anymore signs of aggressive dominance behavior. Ever since then, they've been unseparable! It just took an extra step for it to happen. So proud!
