Hello, I'm new. :)

Hi! I'm Amanda. A brand new guinea pig mom. Well, grandmother I suppose. Technically our new girl belongs to my 10 year old daughter, but seeing as children can't be financially responsible for pets...I guess she is just as much mine. We just got her yesterday and she is so sweet. She is our first guinea pig of the family and even though I have spend nearly four months researching I feel like I still have so much to learn for her. Cages, food, toys, beds and more! :crazy: But I'm happy to do it.

As I mentioned she is currently our only guinea pig. Later after we complete a C&C cage, we may pursue another girl from the humane society but I want to be sure I know enough about them before I jump into a second. We also have two dogs, 2 cats, 18 chickens, and two roosters.

Oh and 3 human kids, with a fourth on the way in June. No shortage of people happy to cuddle our new girl! Her picture is in my profile.
