Hey everyone, I'm really new to this whole forum thing. I just got my guinea pig two days ago and she's super active! She(Meelo) is constantly run around and when I talk to her, she makes her little piggy noises. She became very comfortable in her new home so fast!! HOWEVER, I noticed after playing for a bit, she was still a little hyper. Her c&c cage is in my room, so I can see her almost all the time. I'm a little scared tho because I notice she poked her head out of her cage and she almost got it stuck!! Now the cage has grids that are 9x9. I was thinking of getting her a store cage for night time and when I'm at work, but I really don't have time to get one right now. Everything is closed and I have work in the morning. I don't know if I can sleep knowing she might get her head really stuck in the grids. OH! She was also very smart to use her little claws on the blacker as leverage to get up. She's a sweet Guinea pig, doesn't nip, interacts with me and she is just an overall good Guinea pig (at least from the two days I've had her). I'm just concerned that I might wake up and she's stuck or has been stuck (knock on wood). I definitely don't want to go to work worried the whole time. What should I do?!?

She is about 3 months old by the way!

You can babyproof the cage by putting cardboard inside it, making it high enough that she can't get her head through. When she's big enough that her head won't fit through the holes, then you can take the cardboard out.
