I have owned a pig for about 2 months and just bought my 2nd one today at the MSU show. I love my pigs very much and spoil them with lots and lots of love. My Granddaughter is very interested in learning to show, so I am now on the look out for a Brindle sow. I bought a Blue Roan today and will have to wait for the sow. I have heard they are hard to come by, so a show quality or Brood quality will probably be even harder. If any of you have any book suggestions that work that would be wonderful. I have the standards book that I bought at the show today and I also stopped at Prues and bought a book.

Hi, Izzy. Welcome to the forum.

I think you'll find that most guinea pig books have outdated information in them. This site is the best on the web for cage information, Guinea Lynx is the best for medical info, and both of them have excellent care information.

But just so you know, you're welcome to post any questions or information about pig care here, but we're a pro-rescue, anti-breeding forum, so breeding discussions are not allowed. Just about anything else pig-related is ok.
