That's poor taste.

That's pretty stupid. No wonder Kerry didn't get elected. ;)

But I have used drinking water and soda bottles to replace my broken water bottles.

Stupid. People will do anything to sell their product.

It's a joke.

I thought it was sort of funny (at first) in a stupid way (guinea pigs drinking ketshup ha ha ya right, who in their right mind would do that), but I agree it sends out the wrong message to people that aren't too bright. And it was just totally stupid.

i thought it was kinda funny. and you have to admit it got peoples attention

Well, its not funny but its quite clever. Look at the cage as well! Its looks like a petstore cage

I see that it's a joke, but it is in very poor taste. It will give people bad ideas.

Yeah, I see how people could argue it's just a joke, but some irresponsible piggie owners could get the wrong idea!

I agree, poor taste, not that funny.
But everyone has a right to try to be funny. I just think it ends up looking dumb.

When I was young we loved catsup, I remember banana, lettuce and catsup sandwiches, 'special sauce' made from catsup and thousand island dressing, etc.

It is an advertisment people. If ads were aimed at the stupid people......well, that would be the end of advertising.

Yeah, it's not exactly that funny, but I guess it does make for a nice stupid commercial.

If any guinea pig owner is stupid enough to take it seriously then I doubt they're capable of even taking care of the guinea pig.

I didn't see it but I read about it in the paper.

Did you notice that in the RSPCA's statement (whose complaints got it taken off air) they said a little ketchup now and then wouldn't harm a guinea pig. Why even bother suggesting to people they should feed inappropraite, salty, sugary junk foods to their pets? Sheesh! Plus it said their ideal diest is hay, grass and a cereal mix - no mention of veggies!

It was still shown on Tuesday night.

jhoban, sometimes ads *are* meant to be aimed at less intelligent people, so that they believe what they see. (Not meaning to argue or anything.)

I still don't see the humor in this at all; it's a living thing, and mistreating a living thing is wrong.

Yes I totally agree with mn, I don't see the humor, ads are aimed for persuadable people, and it's wrong to mistreat a living being.

That is mean.

wow i never saw that.
