Hay Hay ?

Has anyone ever fed Coastal hay to their pigs? I just bought a bale of pure Timothy from a feed store, it's somewhat stemmier than what I like but spending lots of $ on hay. I have (5) pigs, I LOVE Oxbow orchard grass and botanical hay.....kinda wishing I hadn't of gotten this bale, it was $16.99 for the whole bale. I was just wondering about the Coastal because I've seen it before and it's much softer than what I got.

I was told that coastal is OK to feed since it is a grass hay. I haven't tried it, any I found here in Texas was awful quality the drought is really doing a number to Texas this year(s). I use to feed it to my rabbits, they did well on it.

Coastal is fine, but as Inle_Rabbit said, what we can get here in Texas is god-awful. If yours is better in Florida, you're lucky.
