I read what some of you are posting about this topic i have a rather large type of cage i use shredded news paper in a 3ft by 8ft plywood box on stilts I fiberglass the inside for when I do scoop and clean cage I have no smell maybe because I put 2 inch shredded paper then of course the uneaten parts of hay gets spread around I think the bigger the cage the better with the plywood sides they can't scatter bedding outside of cage
