guinea pigs with mange mite

could any one please post a picture of what mange mite looks like on guinea pigs i really need some pictures

This is a great site for info on pigs. If your piggy is scratching, youre best off bringing them to be treated for mites, even if it could be fungal, as mites can kill. Ivermectin is the treatment of choice for mites, you can get it at the vet or online. if you get it online, be careful to weigh your pig so as not to overdose as this can be toxic.
A lot of people treat for both mites and fungal infections. However, you need to treat for mites first, as bathing the pig in anything for fungal problems will cause the mites to bury deeper and they will be in agony.
 
Mange mites on pigs just look like hair loss, sometimes with redness and/or scabs from scratching. You can't see the mites -- they're too small. Read www.guinealynx.info/mites.html for more information.
