I'm going to get a pair of guinea pigs and maby a hamster too. Will they fight?

I wouldn't reccomend putting them together.

Niether would I.

Not in the same cage but when i let them run around on the floor?

Then I would have an eye on the at all times!

I wouldn't even let them run around together.

Considering hamsters are pretty solitary, I wouldn't recommend it.

When I had a dwarf hamster, I introduced her to one of my previous pigs. My guinea pig was incredibly curious, but the hamster just wanted to hide.

Someone else on this forum had a hamster that got along with her guinea pig though.

keep in mind that hamsters have different personalities, and most people dont keep 2 hamsters together because they tend to fight rather than be social with eachother... So I couldnt imagine one getting along with a couple of pigs. Keep in mind hamsters all h ave long teeth they will bite with if they are scared... And if you plan on doing this, make sure you are supervising at all times.

Well If your gunna let the hamster run around make sure you keep your eyes on it at all times, As My hamsters used to disappear alot of times and I would find them 1week later downstairs Its amazing how they can travel inside the house walls!!

I have dwarf hamsters and guinea pigs but I can never imagine putting them together. I wouldn't want anyone to get bitten. And they are so quit I don't know how you could stop them if they wanted to get eat other. Why chance it?

I have 2 piggies and I just got a 3rd piggie from a rescue this past Thursday (who is in quarantine) and I also have a dwarf hamster.

I introduced the hamster to the piggies under careful supervision. The piggies ran away from her and wouldn't have nothing to do with her. Puffy (the hamster) would go up to the pigs but they would just go to the other side of the playpen. Since then they haven't been near each other at all. I have the pigs out at different times than the hamster except for once.

I bought up a hamster ball the other day and puffy runs around the floor in it, I had my CoCo out for floortime and puffy ran up to her in the ball and just sat there in front of CoCo. It was so funny though because CoCo started pushing the ball across the floor. Puffy must not have liked it because she turned around and went the other way.

I am more worried that the hamster would bite the gp rather then the other way around. Those little teeth hurt. I have two dwarf males that no matter what I do they want to sink their teeth into me. All the others love to be handled.

Hmm My hamsters never bit me only twice once because one was old and the other because they were fighting, I used to have around maybe 20 hamsters 10 dwarf and 10 teddy bear and I used to have one I raised from a baby as it got rejected from its mother and I find them to be sweet and very kind, But Yes if A hamster bit a GP it would do more damage as they are faster and more nimble im guessing.

The ones that always come after me are a pair of twin Albinos...I have tried everything. I think one of them is starting to come around. But I still have to be careful.

My dwarf does nip me occasionally when she smells food on my hands. Other than that she is as sweet as she can be.
