I am wondering if you can answer a question I have about Christmas trees and guinea pigs. We have two guinea pigs we keep in the living room. I want to put up a Christmas tree this year (it would be across the room from the piggies). Are Christmas trees toxic to piggies? I am wondering if it would be dangerous if some of the tree accidently got into the piggies cage. I know that mistletoe is toxic, but I didn't know about trees (pine, etc.) If necessary we will get an artificial tree. I've looked around the internet but can't find information on this subject.

Try guinealynx on the front page, it should say something...im checking now for you...

Most are sprayed with fireproofing chemicals, so I would think not. Is there any way you can place the tree somewhere further away?
