Hello, so I got my first two guinea pigs from a rescue group, and I believe that the girl might be pregnant (I got a male and female pair, but the male is neutered) Anyways the female has a big waist, and I'm concerned she might be preggers. Here are some pics of here

You can't tell from the shape of the pig in most cases. I've got the most pregnant-looking non-pregnant guinea pig you ever saw.

How long have you had them?

See https://www.guineapigcages.com/foru...inea-pig-is-pregnant-And-how-far-along-is-she for clues about how/when to tell if she's expecting.

You're sure the male is neutered? Because if he's not, and she's pregnant and delivers/miscarries, she can get pregnant again within minutes of delivery. And back-to-back pregnancies are VERY hard on the sow and second litter of pups.

I don't feel anything moving on her tummy, it just feels tight, so I don't what that means. But I did read that they drink more when pregnant and she does drink alot more than the male. I have only had them a week. As far as the male, I was told by the rescue group he was neutered but don't know how to check for myself

Look at https://www.cavyspirit.com/sexing.htm. Unneutered males generally have HUGE testicles, so if he's been neutered, it's going to be pretty obvious.

Some guinea pigs drink a lot, others don't, and they can drink more at times than at others. It's not a reliable sign of pregnancy in the absence of any of the other indicators.

Here's some recommended reading for new pig owners:
