Hello, everyone. I have two female guinea pigs: Smores and Marshmallow. They have been living together for 5 years, since they were babies. They've always done the dominance thing and occasionally bickered, but they get along well usually.
However, lately Smores has been rumblestrutting and making a complaining noise for seemingly no reason. It's been constant the past few days. Sometimes Marshmallow will be on the other side of the cage sleeping in her hutch (aka nowhere near Smores), and Smores will randomly start complaining and rumblestrutting. It's like she's annoyed at Marshmallow's existence.
I know the dominance thing is normal, but Smores has been rumblestrutting/complaining literally every 30 minutes. Is this normal, or should I be concerned? Does anyone have any idea why she might be acting like this? I'm having a hard time reading her behavior. Thanks in advance!
