Guinea Pig behavior.. what does it mean?

Havent posted in a while!!

Well I had a Guinea Pig behavior question... my older dominant boar will approach my little one and start making this rumbling noise.. He will then wag his butt back and forth..

What does that mean? Usually when he does that the little one just stays still and does not move. The older one will then nudge him out of the way..

Does that just mean Move out of my way?? Or what is this all about?

He's showing his dominance. He is the boss of the two.

Ah ok.. so the wagging of his butt is a dominance thing.. I figured it that much but I was unclear.

My boys do it all the time, no worries. They'll each rumblesturt at each other, stare at each other for about a minute, and then dart to other ends of the cage. I have no idea why they make a break for it, but it's quite entertaining to watch.

Mine do the same thing- but Melmen does the rumblesturtting and Joey makes a high pitch squelling noise even thought he is not getting hurt or any thing, is Joey just letting MElmen know that "yes you are in chage"?

The high pitched is a worried, scared, or in pain noise.

Oh, my poor Joey, I hope that he is not emothionaly harmed by what his big brother Melmen is doing. LOL Well there is not physicaly pain so it must be that he is scaried/worried
