Good with numbers - really bad with design....

We are getting our 6 (3 male, 3 female) piggies out of their store-bought cages and into a c&c "living environment", yeah!!! THe problem is I am an accountant and I can't visualize designs at all. My 13 year old son came up with a simple 2x4 grid with another 2x4 right on top of it. This allows no access to the bottom level for cleaning or picking up cavies. I would also like to give each "cage" an additional upper level of a smaller size so the piggies can explore. I don't see very many complex designs in the cavy cage area and wondered if anyone could provide ideas? I appreciate anyone's time and input very much. Happy Holidays!!

Good job!

With 3 in each cage, I assume? You ought to try and make space to give them a bigger cage. Even a 2 X 4 wpuld be better. The top level won't be used as much and the ramp will cut into their space to run. If you can at all, try to make it bigger. It'll be easier to clean, too!

I was tihnking of doing a two level, but I might do a staggered design.. Where I have a 2 X 3 grid space and then another 2 X 2 second level, but where the 2 X 2 is not resting on the cage, but above it and over...

It's still flexible as far as how I'm going to design it. I'm getting the supplies in 2 weeks!
