You know I've been a guinea pig owner and cavy slave since April. In the last three months of stumbling and learning how to take of one, then two and now three guinea pigs. I've really got it down to a science. If I didn't have to wait so long between drying and washing with the fleece I have it done faster. Though when I just do spot cleans and that it takes no time at all. The boys love their floor or outside time and I've gotten things very organized at my apartment. Gotten a new vacume and everything. Things are pretty well even when Smores is acting up. So looks like I've got a routine now. Who knew?

So, let's hear the details of your 'down-to-a-science' routine. I'm sure others would appreciate a few pointers or tips.

Yes Ryan, do tell.
So how about getting 2 sets of fleece so you don't have to wait for it to wash and dry. This is what we did, and it's worked out great!

Ok. Simple. Get my indo playing pen with is just newspaper and cubes. After setting the boys up in there. I sweep up the excess bedding and hay. I then remove the rest of the supplies and wash them off. I then gather up the fleece and toss it into the watch. I have small fleece for the top leven so that's easy to replace. I then sweep off the coroplast and vacume around it. I then spot clean and then replace the fleece. I then add in the cleanned off supplies. Let the boys have an hour of floor time and then put them back when fresh veggies and hay in the cage.

I can tell you wrote that in a hurry. I had to laugh at this "toss it into the watch". You must have an awfully big watch!! I have several changes of fleece myself.

Actually I have a very big watch. It scares people when I'm wearing it and moving stuff.
