For anyone that didn't read about Chewy before, I found him in my yard and he was pretty sick for a little while. He's perfectly healthy now, and I've been communicating with a rescue for a couple of weeks now about adopting a new piggie.

They've got a female that I plan on going to pick up tomorrow (YAY! I'm excited) but I've never had to introduce one to another before. I've read about how I should introduce them on a neutral ground, and I've got the clean fleece and toys to put in the cage when I get her, but what else should I know or do?

Is it easier for male and females to bond than it is males with males? I could have gotten males, but I figured Chewy would like a girlfriend and since she's spayed she can't get pregnant :)

They told me she was spayed because when they got her she had cysts that they had to remove, and that she's about 3 years old. They also said she's been alone for a while because her cage mate died a while back, but the other two options are a massive spayed female (they make her sound gigantic) and a female that bites.

They girl we're getting is GORGEOUS though :) I can't wait to share pigtures!

That's excellent news for you and Chewy! I have no firsthand experience but I've read males and females are easier to bond.
