My female (?) piggie is acting like a male, I think.

I have 2 female pigs. The gender was determined by both the breeder and a vet, 2 females. However, my one pig, Charlotte, keeps walking around the cage rumblestrutting and wagging her behind. And she chases the other one Molly. I don't see any agressive behavior like biting and haven't seen any attempts to mount. Molly has started spending most of her time in her castle hideaway. Charlotte doesn't try to enter, they pretty much have their own areas. I am so afraid that I might have a mixed pair! I've tried the "push" test, but nothing pops out. Is her behavior normal for a girl????

The rumble-strutting behavior may occur in both females and males. The one doing the rumbling is the more dominant female, and she is simply reminding the less dominant piggy of her status. Hope this helps! =)

Dominance

Should I be worried? My pig is doing it ALL the time. Funny thing is...she was the runt and had to be hand-fed! Both pigs are about 4 months old. They are in a 2x3 coroplast cage. I'm due to upgrade the size soon. Am I about to have a problem? Anything I should look out for? Thanks for your help.

If you are really worried, check out this website. There are some great pictures and information on finding out the gender of your guinea pig.

I hope this helps! Good Luck!
